Wild Center Cullen Out For Two Games With Groin Injury

1500ESPN is reporting that Minnesota Wild center Matt Cullen will be out for at least two games because of a lower-body injury suffered in Monday’s loss to the St. Louis Blues.

Coach Mike Yeo told reporters on Tuesday that the second-line center would miss games at San Jose and Los Angeles on Wednesday and Thursday.

Cullen is fourth on the Wild in scoring with 25 points and he might be able to return on Sunday in Columbus.

Although the Wild did not disclose the exact injury, Cullen appeared to suffer a groin injury in the second period Monday and did not return.

The Wild recalled forward Johan Larsson from Houston to take Cullen’s place. The 20-year old Larsson made his NHL debut against Detroit on Feb. 17.
