The Minnesota Wild gave their fans a thrilling overtime victory last night beating the Phoenix Coyotes 4-3 in overtime at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild got out to a 2-0 lead and looked like they would win going away, but after allowing three straight goals, the team needed a goal from Ryan Suter in the final minute of regulation to force overtime.

Tied 3-3 the extra period, the Wild had an early power play opportunity slip through their fingers. Moments later though, the captain Mikko Koivu came through with the game winning goal to send the Wild to their seventh victory in a row, a team record. The wild remain atop the standings in the Northwest Division.
