Initial Bids Received For Pine City Auditorium
There was a special Pine City School Board this morning, at 7:00 A.M. in the High School Media Center. The purpose of the meeting was to review bid submissions on the build for the new auditorium. When asked for comment on the process, District Superintendent Wayne Gilman, through a post on facebook, said:
“This morning the Pine City School Board reviewed the initial bids for the auditorium. They were overbudget. We are going to review the plans and possibly make some changes. Increasing band and choir room space along with increased seating capacity in the auditorium are a high priority. The alternate bid for an ITV room/District office is not part of this. It is funded separately. We meet again next week to consider some changes and rebidding the project in order to stay within budget.”
The auditorium project was approved in a 2012 referendum.
