An interesting question is being discussed in some Wisconsin political circles: is republican Gov. Scott Walker considering a run for President? New information out could hint at that.

The Associated Press reports that Gov. Walker is scheduled to headline a Republican fundraising dinner in Iowa this spring. It would be Walker’s first foray into the leadoff caucus state as a presidential prospect. Past headliners of the Iowa event include 2012 presidential prospects Newt Gingrich and Michele Bachmann.

Walker is reportedly scheduled to give the keynote speech the spring event on May 23 in West Des Moines.

Elected in 2010, Walker is a popular yet polarizing figure in Wisconsin. He did successfully defeated last year’s recall, aimed his direction by democrats who were angered by his bills which took aim at public unions.
