Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office Warns Residents About Scam
The Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents of a scam. The Sheriff’s office has recently received multiple complaintes of a scam where a caller advises the victim that their Medicare Card or a credit card is about to expire and must be renewed immediately. The caller will then ask for personal information along with banking information.
The Kanabec County Sheriff’s Office doesn’t recommend giving out such information over the phone and instead advises residents who’ve received such calls to notify them at 320-679-8400.
