Location: U-M Duluth Campus
Original broadcast time: 7pm
Result: Braham 58 : 53 Esko

Tonight we featured the girls basketball game we had waited all season for. In a rematch of last year’s Section 7 Class AA Championship game, the Braham Bombers faced the Esko Eskomos Thursday night in Duluth. Braham came in undefeated at 29-0 and ranked #8 in the state while Esko was 26-3 and ranked #5 in the state.

In a jam-packed environment, both teams showed great team play and defense to start out the game. Despite a recent toe injury, the 6’8 future UCLA Bruin and current Eskomo Savanna Trapp played hard scoring 11 points. Esko trailed Braham 26-21 at the half but went on a run in the second half and took a lead.

The match-up become only more heated with the the start of the second half. With minutes left, Braham finally made the push they’d needed all game. Rebekah Dalhman’s 31 points helped the Bombers clinch their fifth straight Section Championship! Braham will now advance to the State Tournament.

Congratulations to the 30-0 Braham Bombers Girls on clinching another state bid! Listen to the replay here… our Jesse Logan was on the call with Nathan Stoa.
