Man In Serious Condition After Stabbing In Pine County

A stabbing has been reported in Pine County. On Sunday at about 5:30pm the Pine County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting the incident. During this call it was learned that the victim had been stabbed by a known acquaintance earlier in the day and had been transported by car to First Light Hospital in Mora and then by ambulance to North Memorial Hospital, where the victim underwent emergency surgery to save his life.

Pine County Deputies responded to the hospital and discovered the male victim had been stabbed at a residence on Tigua Road west of Pine City at about 0730 in the morning after some type of altercation. Deputies responded to the scene of the stabbing to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

The victim is in serious but stable condition and his name is being with held at this time. The Pine County Sheriff’s Office has a named person of interest, but no one in custody at this time. This investigation is ongoing.
