    Rep. Faust –

It’s not “gay marriage”, it’s “marriage”. The issue is not about giving one group special rights–It’s about giving everyone the same rights. A better term would be “marriage equality”. Civil unions do not do enough to extend the same opportunities to everyone in your district, 11B. Pine County has the third highest concentration of same-sex couples in the state, behind just Hennepin and Ramsey. And this is what you are in favor of? Merely civil unions. Please do what’s right and support marriage for all, so everyone’s love, commitment and relationships can be honored and celebrated, and the given couple can choose to enter into the unity of marriage, with God in the center of the relationship. Please reconsider your stance; and at the least, your offensive language.
