Martin, Elvehjem Appeared On WCMP, Both Made State For Triple ‘A’ Award

Last week, two local seniors were picked to go to State in Triple ‘A’, which is a competition among Minnesota’s graduating students put on by the Minnesota State High School League. The Triple ‘A’ award is for students who excel in three categories: Academics, Athletics and the Arts.

Last Wednesday, Jan. 30, Pine City Senior Adam Martin won the male winner from Region 5 and Noelle Elvehjem was the female winner. Both will now go to the State banquet for Triple ‘A’ to be held on March 23.

On Wednesday, Martin made a call in to the First Thing in the Morning Show to talk about the Triple ‘A’ experience:

On Friday, Elvehjem was on to talk about her experience with Triple ‘A’ and recap a thrilling double-overtime win against Proctor from the night before.
