Temps In Listening Area Dangerously Low

Monday, January 21st, 2013 at 11:07 am

Expect dangerously cold weather conditions in western Wisconsin on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will remain below zero, while wind chills will range from -10 to -30.

The National Weather Service has placed the entire listening area under a Wind Chill Advisory through Tuesday morning. In general, wind chills will range from -10 to -30 below but the area will see a gradual improvement in temperatures by the middle of the week.

Officials advise people to stay indoors and avoid travel if possible. If you do have to travel, it’s advised that you contact friends and relatives letting them know that you’ve arrived safely at your destination, and have a cell phone with you. With temperatures at these depths, hypothermia can set in quickly for a motorist who is stranded due to any vehicle problems.
