MN Flu Vaccinations Up, Becoming Harder To Find

Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 at 7:12 am

The Minnesota Health Department says there is no shortage of flu vaccine in the state, although some people haven’t been able to get flu vaccine from their primary care clinics.

Officials are stressing that flu vaccine is still available, however it they stress that it may be a little harder to find as primary providers might not have any right away.

Minnesota Public Radio News reports that some clinics are choosing not to reorder vaccine once they’ve used up their supply. Apparently those clinics may be reluctant to obtain more vaccine because they don’t know how long the demand will last.

In those situations, patients can look elsewhere for vaccine using the Health Department’s “Find a Flu Shot Clinic” tool.
