Pine City Crash Sends Three To Hospital
Last Thursday, Jan. 10, a crash happened at the southern traffic light on Main Street in Pine City, at the intersection where Main meets Hillside. The sheriff’s office tells us that an elderly woman pulled out to turn into the path of the oncoming vehicle, and the two vehicles collided.
Chief Deputy Steve Blackwell said that no critical injuries were reported but the elderly driver, an adult passenger, and a child passenger from the other vehicle were taken to the hospital by ambulance to be checked out. Both vehicles were significantly damaged and had to be towed. Several fire trucks and ambulances responded to the scene along with several Pine County deputies. The intersection had to be closed for a time and traffic was rerouted.
