Many Government Buildings In Wisconsin Closed Today Due To Snowstorm
A huge snowstorm is hitting Wisconsin today, although it’s mainly south of our listening area. The storm was so big, however, that Governor Walker has closed state government offices in at least 22 counties. Walker said he closed those offices due to extreme winter weather conditions although the office buildings will remain open to employees.
Walker told the Associated Press that he wanted to keep state buildings open to employees to ensure that essential services are maintained during the storm. Again, we don’t know of any such offices closed in our listening area though, as the storm is largely passing south of us.
