Three people were arrested in Burnett county over the weekend after the Webster police department and the Polk County SWAT Team responded to a reports of multiple gunshots in the Village of Webster. The incident took place on Saturday night, with the first call coming in to dispatch at 7:22 p.m.

The Inter-County Leader reports that the initial call was that as many as 50 rounds were fired from 7361 E Cedar Street. The surrounding area was evacuated and the Swat team from Polk County was also called in to assist.

Two of the men involved in the incident had left the residence prior to officers responding, but were later located and arrested. Officers received information that there were possibly two individuals still in the home. Nobody in the home responded to pleas to come out, and tear gas was used to help clear the building. One man was found barricaded inside.

The three men arrested were 22-year old Thomas J. Polski of Danbury; 23-year old Cowan J. Bruss of Webster; and 23-year old James Kroplin of Webster. They were taken to the Burnett County Jail. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries in the case.

Charges are pending in this case, and we’ll have more when Burnett County Sheriff Dean Roland makes his weekly radio appearance on Tuesday.
