Update: Schaffhausen Back In Court Monday
The former North Dakota man who is charged with killing his three daughters in River Falls is back in court Monday. Here is the outcome.
The judge could rule on a few issues in the Aaron Schaffhausen case. The first is whether cameras will be allowed in court during the trial. The defense wants the court to ban TV coverage.
The judge is also reviewing evidence the defense wants thrown out. Schaffhausen’s lawyer could file a motion of “not guilty by reason of insanity” but has until mid-December to do that.
The defense has until Dec. 28 to request a change of venue. If Schaffhausen is convicted he faces a mandatory life in prison sentence.
