New numbers from the Walker administration out of Madison show that unemployment numbers have declined throughout the state.

Private sector jobs grew 1.5 percent since the 12-month period in June, adding 35,379 jobs in total. Government jobs increased by over 2,100 during the same period.

The overall unemployment rate dropped from 7.3 percent to 6.9 percent in the state. Numbers are based on a census of 96% of Wisconsin businesses.
