Foley Woman Pleads Guilty To Murder Of Husband
A Minnesota woman has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the shooting death of her husband last year.
A St. Cloud Times report says that Angelina O’Mara admitted Tuesday in court that she killed James Kelly O’Mara in his Sauk Rapids apartment by shooting him once in the head. She admitted that she brought a .22-caliber rifle to James O’Mara’s apartment on Oct. 28, 2011, and shot him as he was lying on the couch.
O’Mara is also accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend, Michael Pies. His body was found in an Ashland, Wis., motel room several days later. She’s charged with first-degree intentional homicide in Wisconsin.
O’Mara is scheduled to be sentenced in her ex-husband’s death Dec. 21 in Benton County District Court.
