DNR: Hunters Don’t Forget To Buy Late-Season Wolf License
The Department of Natural Resources is reminding hunters and trappers who were selected by lottery for Minnesota’s late wolf hunting season to buy their licenses by this Thursday or they’ll be sold to others.
If there are any late-season licenses that go unclaimed, they will be offered for sale starting at noon on Monday. The sale will be on a first-come, first-serve basis to lottery applicants who lost.
The DNR has sold more than 1,000 of the 1,800 available late-season hunting licenses and more than 500 of the 600 available trapping licenses. The late season begins Nov. 24.
The early wolf hunting season ends on Sunday. Hunters have taken about 120 wolves so far. The total harvest for the two seasons is capped at 400 wolves.
