AAA Expecting A Slight Increase In Holiday Travel

Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 at 11:23 am

Every year millions of Americans hit the road to visit their families for Thanksgiving. This year the amount of people traveling is expected to increase slightly from last year.

In their annual Thanksgiving forecast, AAA said that they predict 43.6 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles from home over Thanksgiving. That’s up just .7% from last year. Families will take shorter trips to save on gas and other costs.

AAA said that a stronger economy is needed in order to have a bigger jump in the amount of holiday travelers.
