Itasca County Death Due To Alcohol, Exposure

Tuesday, October 30th, 2012 at 7:30 am

A 19-year-old man died in Itasca County early Sunday morning. And preliminary findings show that alcohol and exposure may have played a role in his death.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office says that they received a 911 call at 3 am.

The caller said they found an unresponsive man outside a cabin in rural Balsam township, and that they were performing CPR on him.

The victim was transported to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy is being conducted, and more information is expected later this week.
