More news now on a drug arrest that took place in Hinckley last week. A man was arrested after being stopped by Pine County Deputies. That man was identified as Daniel James Franklin born in 1983.

In a press release we learned that agents of the East Central Drug and Violent Offender Task Force conducted a controlled purchase of one quarter ounce of methamphetamine from Franklin earlier in the month in the City of Sturgeon Lake.

After being pulled over, Deputies say Franklin refused to comply and submit to arrest, then began fighting with Deputies and Task Force Agents. Franklin was taken into custody without injury after a short struggle. A search of his pockets revealed 25 grams of meth and glass pipe used to smoke the drug.

Franklin was transported to the Pine County Jail where he was booked and subsequently charged with 2 counts of 1st degree sale and possession of meth and 2 counts of 2nd degree sale and possession of meth.
