Forest Lake Receives Grant For Warning Sirens
Starting next year warning sirens will be heard across the entire city of Forest Lake.
This month the city received a $126,000 federal grant to put seven sirens in parts of the community where there are none.
They’ll start installing the sirens next spring which will give complete coverage across the city seven years ahead of schedule. The warning sirens will be used primarily to notify the community of any dangerous storms moving into the area.
