Vikings WR Simpson Ailing
ESPN 1500 Twin Cities reports the Vikings would like to determine a course of action with Jerome Simpson (back) by Wednesday, and that he could require surgery that would sideline him six weeks.
Per beat writer Tom Pelissero, Simpson is having issues with a disc that’s causing weakness and numbness in one of his legs. The Vikings are exploring non-surgical treatments, but Simpson could require “microdiscetomy surgery.” The operation would sideline him through Minnesota’s Week 11 bye.
Even if Simpson avoids going under the knife, his Week 6 status remains up in the air.
