Last night on Cool Country we had a very competitive volleyball match-up between the Rush City Tigers and the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars. It was Parents Night in Hinckley, as it was the final home game of the season for the Jags. The Jaguars were hoping to win one for their families, but Rush City had other plans and won in a hotly contested match 3 sets to 2.

The Tigers, behind the excellent serving of senior Mackenzie Sherrill won the first set 25-19. Hinckley Finlayson’s offense then got some momentum going, winning set two 25-18 and set three 25-22. Rush City tied things up with a 25-16 win in set four, setting up a deciding fifth set. The Jaguars jumped out to a six point edge in the fifth and final set and it looked like they were on their way to their first win over Rush City since 2009. The Tigers rallied though and came back to edge out the Jaguars 15-13 winning the match 3 sets to 2.

Rush City will take on Onamia next and the Jaguars will get Isle.
