Flood Damage Victims Need To Seek SBA Approval This Week

Monday, October 8th, 2012 at 6:09 am

Many residents have moved on since the destructive floods in June, but case managers are in Duluth, Cloquet and Moose lake to help area residents apply for disaster loans before the Oct. 15th deadline one week from today.

Again, applying for an SBA loan is the first step in the process as folks who’ve been either approved or denied by the SBA get access to other pools of resources that are available once they find out their SBA status. Residents should not be afraid they will be stuck with a loan payment you can’t afford. Apparently, if it’s deemed an applicant can’t afford to repay such a debt it opens them up to even more resources.

The bottom line is that if you’ve sustained flood damage, you need to seek that SBA loan within the next week.
