AUDIO REPLAY

The Pine City Dragons have a short road trip tonight to face off with the Jaguars of Hinckley-Finlayson. The two teams have played five years in a row, with Pine City winning all five meetings. This year’s game promises to be a much tougher task than several of those wins though; the Jaguars sit at 3-0 on the season and aren’t about to let the Dragons tarnish their unblemeshed record. Hinckley-Finlayson has a group that can grind out yardage on the ground led by some experienced athletes. The Dragons are looking to rebound from last week’s emotional rollercoaster and ultimate loss to Crosby-Ironton.

Join Jesse Logan and Eric Wicktor for the game, brought to you tonight on FM 100.9 at 7pm, and of course streaming right here!

GAME RECAP
Hinckley-42 Pine City-14
—————————

Pine City started out with, in several ways, odd formations and different approaches to kick offs and plays in an attempt to fool the Hinckley defense. The fired up crowd and the past five year losing streak to Pine City fueled a tough defense for Hinckley that stopped Pine City in their tracks. Hinckley, having near limitless momentum, scored touchdowns and played a hard ball game. Pine City did their best in the first half, yielding one touchdown and a two point conversion. At the ending of the second quarter, a fast approaching storm unleashed strong winds, and rain on the shaggy Hinckley field. After half time, the crowds had thinned out to the die-hards and both Pine City and Hinckley had tried their best to score in the third quarter, but just couldn’t punch it through. The fourth quarter started with a Pine City kickoff that was high, and almost onside, which looked fairly rehearsed. But Hinckley kept on pushing the ball farther and farther down the field to Pine City’s touchdown zone. The game ended with Hinckley leading Pine City 42-14
