Cloquet Man Sentenced In Kidnapping Case
A Cloquet man who pleaded guilty to kidnapping his son in early August has been sentenced in St. Louis County court.
WDIO-news is reporting that James Nordrum, Jr. was sentenced to two years in the Northeast Regional Correction Center or St. Louis County Jail. The sentence is made up of one year for a firearms charge, and another for the kidnapping.
The St. Louis County Prosecutors office say a 5 1/2 year sentence was stayed, but if Nordrum doesn’t follow the conditions of his 10-year probation after serving his sentence, he’d go back to jail.
Authorities say Nordrum kidnapped his 7-year-old son, Wyatt, in March, after losing custody rights.
