Three High School Football Games In Two Nights On Red Rock Radio This Week!

Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 at 6:20 am

Our high school broadcast season got off to a great start on Friday night in Grantsburg, the Pirates played a tight one against the Cumberland Beavers on SAM1057.

This week we’re back on with the most local high school coverage in the area: three games in two nights on our airwaves!

First off, on AM 1350 we’ve got games both Thursday and Friday night. On Thursday, the Braham Bombers are retooled under the direction of Shawn Kuhnke and are set to head into Rush City to take on the Tigers. Coach Paul Kirby will have his Tigers ready for battle on Thursday night; the game starts at 7:30.

Then on Friday night on AM 1350, we’ll open up the Pine City Dragons football season at 7pm. The Dragons will play proctor for the third year in a row, and for the third year in a row, we’ll have that game for you. Can the dragons win for the third straight year? We’ll find out on Friday night.

During the Dragons game, our SAM1057 will be broadcasting the second Grantsburg pirates game of the season. The Shell Lake Lakers are also 0-1, but lost a fairly high scoring game in their opener against Turtle Lake, so this one should also be a very good game.

And if this wasn’t enough for you, of course we’ve got Vikings and Packers on 100.9 Cool Country and SAM 1057 this week, both playing on Thursday night in their final preseason outings. Yes, football season is officially here.
