Flood Relief Bill Passes MN House And Senate; Signed By Dayton
A $167.5 million flood package was approved by the Minnesota House and Senate on Friday.
The bill was passed by a 125-3 vote in the House and by a 60-7 vote in the Senate. Hours after it passed in the House and Senate, Governor Mark Dayton signed the bill into law.
“This help to Minnesotans, who have suffered terrible misfortunes, is a shining example of the spirit which makes our state so very special,” Dayton said in a statement.
The bill is designed to help repair flooded businesses and damaged homes, rebuild roads and restore damaged parks.
