Carlton County Attorney Returns To Work

Carlton County Attorney Thom Pertler is is back at work Tuesday, according to WDIO. Pertler was held in jail following an alleged drunk driving arrest on July 17, 2012. He was released the next day, and checked into rehab the following week.

Law enforcement officers said they pulled over Pertler on Highway 61 as he entered Duluth following citizen reports of erratic driving. Before being booked into the St. Louis County Jail, a preliminary breath test showed his blood alcohol content was at 0.234.

Pertler faces seven charges and is due back in court on Sept. 11.
