Wisconsinites Focus On Republican Senate Primary

Monday, August 13th, 2012 at 7:57 am

Tomorrow is primary day in Wisconsin as voters are set to head to the polls to pick who will run in the general election this fall. Many Wisconsinites are election weary after the wave of recalls earlier this year, but buckle up because tomorrow should be interesting. One of the biggest primaries in the state is on the Republican side as four people vye for the parties nomination to run for US Senate this fall. Even with former Gov. Tommy Thompson on the ballot, nothing appears to be set in stone.

Eric Hovde, Mark Neumann and Jeff Fitzgerald are all in the running for the Republican nomination as well, and all have done a nice job with their respective campaigns. The Senate seat they are seeking became available when Senator Herb Kohl, a democrat, announced his retirment earlier this year.
