Big Money Being Spent To Try And Sway Voters In Minnesota’s 8th District
Big money is being spent to try and sway voters for Democrats Tarryl Clark and Rick Nolan in Minnesota’s 8th district and a good portion is coming from outside groups.
Washington-based Emily’s List reported putting $85,000 into TV ads for Clark on Tuesday. Emily’s List helps women candidates who support abortion rights. They have spent nearly $170,000 on the race since late July.
Nolan is getting help from the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. They have spent $137,000 on TV ads and mail pieces since mid-July. Nolan is the party’s endorsed candidate.
The winner of next week’s primary between Clark, Nolan and Jeff Anderson will challenge republican chip Cravaack in November.
