It’s been reported by Enbridge Energy that a pipeline of oil leaked over 1,200 barrels of oil near Grand Marsh on Friday afternoon.

The company says workers were alerted by a drop in the pressure line and was immediately shut down. Work crews were sent to the site shortly after. The lines send crude oil to refineries in the Chicago area.

Luckily, the location of the leak happened in a field away from human population. The cause of the leak is currently under investigation.
