Wolves Rumors Swirling, Nothing Concrete Yet

Timberwolves fans are still hoping that the Blazers don’t match the offer to Nicolas Batum.

The versatile swingman has already signed a deal to come to Minnesota but Portland is trying to decide if they will match that offer to keep Batum. Portland’s GM has said the team won’t let Batum walk, but a sign and trade may also be a possibility if the two teams can come to terms on Batum’s value.

Although the Wolves haven’t announced any transactions since the start of free agency, rumors about possible trades continued to swirl.

Another rumor on Wednesday came from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which reported that Chicago Bulls forward Kyle Korver “likely” is headed to the Wolves in a trade.

Korver, 31, has averaged 9.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 664 NBA games over nine seasons. His best days came in Philadelphia, where he scored a career-best 14.4 points per game in 2006-07. Nothing is official on Korver, but he would be a much needed outside shooter for a team lacking consistency from beyond the arc.

We’ll keep you posted…
