Emergency 911 Phone Service Restored In Carlton County

Emergency 911 phone service and phone lines are back up in running in Carlton County after being down for much of the day on Tuesday. It’s not known if problems with internet service are persisting.

Much of Carlton County experienced a communications disruption around mid day on Tuesday, leaving authorities like the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center without working phone lines and internet. People from Moose Lake, Cloquet, Barnum, and Esko were among those affected by the interruption. Fortunately, things seem to be back to normal at this time.

It’s believed that damage to a Century Link line caused the outages
