Body Of Missing Person On Centerville Lake Found

The body of a missing man on Centerville Lake was found Monday afternoon.

The search started at about 6:45am on Sunday when witnesses reported watching a canoe carrying two fishermen sink into the water. Neither of the two men were wearing a life jacket. Sunday’s search and rescue efforts were called off at 7 pm before picking up Monday morning.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office found Thai Vang’s body at about 4pm on Monday.

A benefit fund has been established at Wells Fargo in the name of Thai Vang.

The other person in the canoe was rescued by other boaters.

Forest Lake police, Lino Lakes police, the Centennial Lakes Fire Department and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office were involved in the search efforts.
