Pine County Commissioners Designate Funds To Assist Flood Victims, Other Flood Aids Available

The Pine County Board of Commissioner has designated county funds to assist flood victims in Pine County.

Pine County Health and Human Services will administer funds to assist Pine County flood victims with food, the inspection costs associated with returning to your home, and other emergency assistance needs. Pine County Human Services will begin taking applications immediately, and in most cases assistance may be available the same day. Please apply in person at the John Wright Building, located in Sandstone, for more information please call 320-216-4100.
Pine County Health and Human Services is creating a resource list for donation of large items. If you have furniture or appliances you would like to donate. Please contact Bonnie Rediske at 320-591-1581. If you are in need of items please contact Chandra by calling the main number 320-591-1570 and asking to be transferred.
Pine County also has Emergency Assistance and Emergency General Assistance which can assist flood victims also. These programs are income based and will follow normal procedures. Pine County is allowing flood victims to apply even if they have received funding previously.

Pine County has other programs you may be eligible for including Cash assistance, food support, and medical assistance. Pine County will coordinate with Lakes and Pines, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross and any other service providers.
