Wild Select Mathew Dumba In First Round Of NHL Draft
The Minnesota Wild selected the 6-foot defenseman Matthew Dumba, who spent the last 3 seasons playing for the Red Deer Rebels of the Western Hockey League.
Dumba who was the 7th pick overall for the Wild, is a Canada native and has been described as a scoring defenseman, he netted 20 goals in 69 games last season for the Rebels,
Dumba is also one of 5 WHL players that were selected in the top 10.
The 2nd round of the draft continues today, the Wild will have the 46th overall pick in that round.
