MN Man Sentenced To 5 Years For Death Of His Passenger In Car Crash

A Minneapolis man who was arrested after his passenger died in a car crash is going to prison.

James Pederson, 31, was sentenced to five years in prison and five years of extended supervision after he pleaded guilty to a Homicide by Operation of a Vehicle charge.

Deputies say last November, Pederson was driving in the town of Trempealeau, Wisconsin, when his car went off the road and went airborne, killing 19-year-old Dillon Pederson, instantly.
