Romney To Visit Wisconsin Today

Monday, June 18th, 2012 at 7:06 am

Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is looking to capitalize on a big Republican victory in Wisconsin as he visits the state for the first time sinceĀ  Gov. Scott Walker survived the recall election.

Romney plans to visit Janesville today. He will be joined by Gov. Walker.

The state hasn’t voted for a Republican for president since 1984. But Republicans sense opportunity after Walker challenged public sector unions and survived a Democratic push to oust him as governor.

Romney is in the middle of a five-day bus tour through six states. He also plans two campaign stops in Iowa.
