The Siren School District says the damage to its school building is estimated to be between $1.3 million and $1.5 million.

The fire happened on May 30 at the building where the district houses all of its K-12 classes. Fortunately, no students or staff were hurt in the fire, but the building has heavy smoke and water damage.

The fire started in the small gym, which is the oldest part of the building.
