With the contentious recall election now in the history books, will Wisconsin be able to move forward in a positive direction?

Many in the state are saying it is time to put the picket signs down and focus on coming together. Gov. Scott Walker has also hinted that he hopes to do his part.

In his victory speech Tuesday night, the newly re-elected republican governor revealed his plan to bring lawmakers together.

Walker said “Next week I’m going to invite over all the members of the legislature, republican and democrat alike. And what better way to bring people together than invite them over for brats, burgers and maybe a little Wisconsin beer.”

Walker defeated Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett in the recall election on Tuesday.
