Twins, Diamond Win Third Straight

After sweeping the Tigers in Detroit, the Twins won their first inter-league game of the season last night 11-3 which produced their first 3-game winning streak since July of last season.

Although Scott Diamond gave up a run after 2 scoreless games pitched, the prospect increased his perfect record to 3-0.

Lead-off man Denard Span went 4-5, and Joe Mauer went 3-5 as the twins collectively amounted 16 hits against the Brewers.

Twins newcomer Josh Willingham also hit his 8th homer of the year, The Twins continue the series today as Carl Pavano will take the mound, opening pitch is scheduled for 3:10.
