Gun Sales Up In Wisconsin

Monday, May 7th, 2012 at 7:57 am

Gun sales are up in Wisconsin, reflecting a national trend.

The Associated Press reports that firearms-related businesses in the state are having a difficult time meeting demand. They say the rising demand is being generated by factors ranging from Wisconsin’s concealed carry law to presidential politics.

Exact figures on firearms sales don’t exist, but the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that, based on the number of calls made to the FBI and Wisconsin Department of Justice for background checks related to firearms purchases, more guns are being sold this year than ever.
