Pine City Administrator Howard Terminated
Pine City Administrator Don Howard has been relieved of his duties by the Pine City city council as of Wednesday nights meeting.
The Pine City Pioneer reports that the vote was three to two, with city council members Paul Janssen, Brian Scholin and Mary Kay Sloan in favor of the termination of Howard and Paul Miller and Mayor Jane Robbins against the move.
Though the motion called for “immediate termination,” Janssen told the paper that Howard could remain in his position until Friday.
At an emergency city council meeting on Thursday night, plans to find a replacement were discussed and it appears that an outside firm may be contracted to begin the search process
