Special Chronic Wasting Disease Deer Meeting Scheduled In Spooner
The DNR is calling a special meeting after a deer with Chronic Wasting Disease is discovered in Northern Wisconsin.
The diseased deer, found near Shell Lake, marks the first time CWD has been detected in that area of the state.
The meeting is set to take place on Monday night at 7pm at Spooner High school. The DNR will discuss CWD, and their strategy to deal with it.
The discovery of CWD is expected to lead to bans on baiting and feeding of deer in several counties surrounding Shell Lake.
