Arrests Made After Morning Drive-Off Attempt (Audio Link To Sheriff’s Report)

Thursday, April 19th, 2012 at 11:50 am

This morning a van was pulled over by the Pine County Sheriff’s office after a reported gas drive-off in northern Pine County. Several men were taken into custody inside the van after it was found that there were outstanding warrants against them for unkown previous offenses. The van was towed from where it was stopped on the southbound ramp at exit 169 in Pine City. Sheriff Cole indicated that alcohol may also be a factor, and possibly even by the driver. Any charges and the names of those involved have not been released at this time.

This news actually came in during the Pine County Sheriff’s report with Robin Cole, which is heard on 100.9 FM each Thursday morning at 7:30. If you missed the report there was a lot of ground covered. Cole told us about vehicle theft and recovery situation that was recently resoved, the siphoning of gas from the Brook Park Post Office delivery trucks and the recently discovered burglary of a Pine City home that was vacant throughout the winter.

The brightest news in the report was that of a 40-year old woman who lived in Brook Park who was brought back to life after being found with no pulse and not breathing.
