Three men were arrested after they burglarized a church in Barron County.

According to the Barron County Sheriff’s Department, on April 13, the department received a call from the Dovre Lutheran Church saying that a member interrupted two men in the church burglarizing it. The church member said the men fled the church and drove away in a truck.

The truck was later spotted and stopped. Three men in the truck were arrested. 18-year-old James Rahn from Cumberland, 19-year-old Westey Gallipo of Cumberland and 20-year-old Brandon Nickell of Clear lake were charged with several counts of burglary.

A criminal complaint said that the three men were also trying to steal a hot tub from an abandoned house across the street from the church. They were unable to take it because it was too heavy. They then stole some copper wire.
