Biden In Minnesota On Wednesday To Stump For Klobuchar
Vice President Joe Biden was in Minnesota on Wednesday to give Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar some in fundraising for her reelection campaign this fall. Biden said Kobuchar was a “gutsy” leader, and believes she’s the type the politician Washington could use more of.
The vice president spent a couple of hours Wednesday in Minneapolis, headlining a major fundraiser for Klobuchar. The first-term senator is standing for re-election in November.
Addressing an audience of 350 people, Biden brought up Klobuchar’s votes for the auto industry bailout as an example of her “gumption” given the unpopularity of the move at the time.
The fundraiser was Biden’s only Minnesota event. It was open to people giving between $125 and $10,000.
