Target Field To Be Smoke-Free
The Twins will open up their home schedule with a game against the Anaheim Angels on Monday and some fans might notice a big change.
Friday, the Minnesota Ballpark Authority finalized a ban on smoking everywhere at the ballpark.
Target Field has always been smoke-free except for one designated smoking area outside Gate 6. In the designated area, smokers could go outside for a cigarette and re-enter the game.
Starting this season, that smoking area will no longer exist and re-entry will not be allowed. Fans will have to cross the street to smoke.
The ban will also apply to all concerts and events.
